In 2023, students from the Tri‑M Honor Society at Scarsdale High School in New York presented four live performances at a local rehabilitation facility over eight months, according to the National Association for Music Education.
After each performance, the students spoke with residents and invited them to share stories and reflections. The recurring visits gave residents musical experiences to anticipate while giving participating students an opportunity to use music in service to their community.
