Morgan Wallen donates nearly $40,000 to North Las Vegas high school music program

Morgan Wallen donates nearly $40,000 to North Las Vegas high school music program

Legacy High School in North Las Vegas received more than $38,000 from the Morgan Wallen Foundation to purchase new instruments for its music program, Whiskey Riff reported. The donation supports the school’s mariachi and orchestra departments, allowing students to access repaired and new equipment rather than sharing worn-out gear.

According to Whiskey Riff, which cited Fox5 Vegas, the funding will provide string and brass instruments for at least 30 additional students. Music teacher Tara Ogden-Skousen told the outlet she felt grateful and excited, noting the contribution makes the program feel more prepared and loved by the community. She expressed high hopes for the future growth of the school’s music offerings as older instruments return from repair.

Whiskey Riff noted this gift is part of a series of donations Wallen has made to communities visited during his I’m The Problem tour, which began with a Las Vegas show in May. The country artist is also preparing to release new music, having recently debuted a song titled “Been By Now” during a performance in Baltimore, Whiskey Riff stated. Wallen has two remaining tour dates scheduled this weekend in Philadelphia before concluding the current run.
