Long-Term Substitute Elementary Music Teacher

Northeast Elementary is in search of a Long Term Substitute Music Teacher Position, starting Fall 2026. Under the general supervision of the Principal, the long-term substitute teacher will serve as a temporary replacement for our Music Teacher during an extended leave beginning September 2026, lasting approximately 8 weeks.

• Implement the district’s elementary music curriculum and instructional materials in alignment with the Iowa Fine Arts Standards.

• Maintain a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to student learning (Experience with PBIS preferred).

• Collaborate with families, colleagues, & other service providers to enhance student outcomes.

• Maintain music materials, instruments, and classroom resources in an organized and responsible manner.

• Strive for continued professional improvement & continuous inquiry.

• Have a love of music, a musical background, and/or musical proficiency.
