The FMEA Professional Learning Conference will take place from January 13 to 16, 2027 at the Tampa Convention Center. Marketed as one of the nation’s biggest gatherings for music educators, the event promises extensive networking and development opportunities for attendees.
Around 250 clinic sessions and concerts are slated, alongside 24 All-State Ensembles that showcase Florida’s leading band, orchestra, chorus, guitar, Orff, and popular music students under the direction of renowned conductors and teachers. More than 10,000 participants are expected, including K‑12 teachers, district supervisors, college faculty, administrators, and student performers.
Key dates for contributors include an October 1, 2026 deadline for presenters to edit session details and request AV equipment, a October 22 deadline for Popular Music Collective submissions, and a November 6 deadline for Student Conference Experience nominations. Early registration ends on December 11, 2026, after which regular rates apply, and checks for registration must be postmarked by the same date.
