Vietnam.vn reported that female teachers from Nghe An province captured top honors at the 6th National Teachers’ Singing Festival 2026, with one winning the first prize and another earning a third‑place award.

Vietnam.vn reported that Nguyen Mai Huong, a teacher at Dien Hong Secondary School in Duc Chau commune, was announced as the First Prize winner.

Vietnam.vn reported that Huong, who has taught for 20 years, composed original lyrics set to the melody of “Planting a Tree, I Remember You,” blending Nghe Tinh folk tunes with modern elements.

Vietnam.vn reported that her music video featured all teachers and 12 students from her school, marking their first on‑camera appearance and emphasizing unity and love for President Ho Chi Minh, the school and the homeland.

Vietnam.vn reported that Nguyen Thi Hong, the principal of Nam Hung Primary School, received the third prize with a mash‑up titled “Central Vietnam Remembers Uncle Ho – The People’s Teacher – The Quintessence of Vietnam.”

Vietnam.vn reported that Hong, born in 1970 and the oldest contestant among more than 300 participants, created a three‑song program and filmed a simple video that includes her 85‑year‑old mother as a storyteller.

Vietnam.vn reported that the awards were described by the teachers as personal triumphs that also highlight the role of music in promoting cultural values and cohesion within Nghe An’s education sector.
